Anyone who has been touched by cancer can join us. That includes men, women, teens and children living with any type of cancer, and their family and friends. Gilda’s Club brings people together who are experiencing similar situations. Whether you are looking for an understanding ear, a chance to laugh or a place to get valuable information, Gilda’s Club is the place to learn how to live with cancer.

Becoming a member of Gilda’s Club Northern New Jersey is a simple two-step process and is always free of charge.

New Member Meeting
(Step One)
The first step is to make a reservation to attend a New Member Meeting, a general orientation to the Club. Here you will hear about our history, our mission, our philosophy, and our program. You will also have an opportunity to introduce yourself and to meet others who are living with cancer. Please remember, this is a meeting for everyone touched by cancer-including family members and friends.

The session concludes with a tour of the clubhouse and the scheduling of a Customized Membership Plan (CMP) meeting if the person wishes to become a member.

Customized Membership Plan (CMP)
(Step Two)
This one-on-one collaborative discussion with a licensed or certified mental health professional, allows each prospective member to structure a personal plan for emotional and social support at Gilda’s Club, utilizing those parts of the Gilda’s Club program that best serve the individual’s needs and interests. Members discuss their cancer circumstances, as well as their short- and long-term goals.

Please call us at 201-457-1670 today to schedule a New Member Meeting.
