HACKENSACK, NJ – Gilda’s Club Northern New Jersey (Gilda’s Club NNJ) recently hosted its first “Featured Artist Reception,” where local artists were invited to exhibit their framed artwork at the clubhouse for four weeks. Artwork was sold with 20 percent of all sales donated to Gilda’s Club.
“It’s a great opportunity for local artists to have their works seen,” said Dyane McMahon, CEO of Gilda’s Club NNJ. “Each exhibitor holds a reception, which brings people who may not know about Gilda’s Club into the clubhouse where they can experience firsthand the warm, home-like atmosphere and learn about the free programs we provide for people whose lives have been touched by any type of cancer.”
Attendees from throughout Bergen County enjoyed appetizers and champagne as they meandered through the exhibit of local artist Libertina Del Guidice’s framed photography, handmade purses, aprons and hair accessories. Del Guidice, a resident of Franklin Lakes, is the owner of Libbylicious, an online boutique specializing in handmade clothing, bags and accessories.
